NIA Arrests Key Khalistani Terrorist Associate at Delhi Airport

In a significant move against the Khalistani terror network, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Baljeet Singh, a close associate of the notorious terrorist Arshdeep Singh Dala, also known as Arsh Dala, of the Khalistan Terrorist Force (KTF). Baljeet Singh, also known as Baljeet Maur, was apprehended at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi upon his arrival from the United Arab Emirates.

Baljeet Singh, hailing from Bathinda district in Punjab, was wanted for his involvement in various terror-related activities linked to the KTF. A Look Out Circular was issued against him in February, and a non-bailable warrant was in place since June 2024. His arrest is a major step in India’s ongoing battle against terrorism, particularly targeting the KTF and its operations.

The NIA’s investigations have uncovered Baljeet’s role in providing logistical support, identifying extortion targets, recruiting new members, and funding terror activities for Arsh Dala’s network in India. According to the NIA, Baljeet was a key conspirator in a plot to instigate terror in Punjab, as detailed in the case RC-02/2024/NIA/DLI, registered by the NIA on February 13, 2024.

The KTF operatives were involved in raising funds through extortion, recruiting new members, executing target killings, and smuggling arms and ammunition into India. The investigation into these activities is ongoing.
