The project involves constructing 51.38 km of new railway lines, divided into four sections: Bhairabi-Hortoki, Hortoki-Kawnpui, Kawnpui-Mualkhang, and Mualkhang-Sairang. It includes multiple tunnels and bridges, with 93% of the work already completed.

- 12,853 meters of tunnels, with 12,807 meters completed
- 55 major bridges and 89 minor bridges, with 47 major and 87 minor bridges completed
