New Parliamentary Committees Announced
The Lok Sabha speaker has named the members of six new Parliamentary Committees. These committees will oversee various aspects of government expenditure and welfare measures.
Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes
Chairperson: Ganesh Singh, BJP MP from Satna, Madhya Pradesh
This committee, established in 2012, reviews reports from the National Commission for Backward Classes and welfare measures for OBCs.
Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes
