NEET-UG Retest: 813 Out of 1563 Candidates Appear Amid Allegations of Irregularities

On June 23, 813 out of 1563 candidates appeared for the NEET-UG retest, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) due to time loss during the original exam on May 5. The NTA reported that 63 candidates were debarred for malpractices, with 17 from Bihar and 30 from Godhra. Allegations of irregularities, including paper leaks, have led to criticism of the NTA. Despite these claims, the NTA assured that its web portals are secure. The controversy has also affected other exams, with the NEET-PG exam postponed and the UGC-NET exam canceled.
