NEET-PG 2024 Exam Postponed: Dr. Abhijat Sheth Explains Why

The NEET-PG 2024 examination, which was supposed to be held on June 23, has been postponed. Dr. Abhijat Sheth, Director of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), explained that the decision came after a meeting with officials from the Union Health Ministry and the National Board of Examination.

Dr. Sheth mentioned that the meeting focused on reviewing the processes for the computer-based examination. The government received numerous inputs and provided directions to the examination body and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the technical partner.

More than 40 IT professionals were expected to be present to monitor and resolve any IT-related issues during the exam. Dr. Sheth assured that NBEMS works closely to address even minor shortcomings.

He also reassured students and their families that NBEMS collaborates with various security agencies, including the CBI, to ensure the examination process is secure at all stages.
