A meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) took place in Patna, Bihar, where Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Bihar chief Raju Tiwari and other senior leaders discussed strategies for the upcoming by-polls. Tiwari expressed confidence in winning all four seats in the Bihar by-polls, stating that all NDA allies, state presidents, and senior leaders, including the Deputy Chief Minister and JD(U) national president, were present to plan the victory.

The by-polls will be held in Ramgarh, Tarari, Imamganj, and Belaganj. Tiwari also addressed the recent violence in Bhagalpur, condemning the vandalism of a temple and its idol. He emphasized that such incidents are not in line with NDA’s values and assured that the state government would address the issue.

Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) announced its candidates for the by-elections in the four assembly seats. Roshan Kumar Majhi will contest from Imamganj, Vishwanath Kumar Singh from Belaganj, Ajit Kumar Singh from Ramgarh, and Raju Yadav from Tarari. The by-polls are part of a larger election spread across 15 states, including Assam, Bihar, and others. The next assembly elections in Bihar are expected in October-November 2025.
