In a significant update on the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, the Mumbai Police have identified a fourth suspect, Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar. Baba Siddique, a three-time MLA from Bandra West, was shot dead in Mumbai. His son, Zeeshan Siddique, is the current MLA from Bandra East.

The murder involved three shooters. Gurmel Singh, from Narad village in Haryana, and Dharmaraj have been arrested, while Shivkumar remains at large. The shooters have connections to Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh. Links to the case have also emerged in Jalandhar, Punjab.

Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, from Shakar village in Nakodar, Punjab, was previously arrested for organized crime. He allegedly directed the shooters and provided logistical support. Akhtar was released from Patiala Jail in June and reportedly connected with the Lawrence gang.

The Mumbai Police have arrested two suspects and are investigating potential links to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. DCP Crime Branch Datta Nalawade stated that two pistols and 28 rounds were recovered. The case is registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Arms Act, and Maharashtra Police Act.
