In a tragic incident, NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot in Mumbai. The Mumbai Crime Branch reported that six bullets were fired, with three hitting Siddique. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but unfortunately did not survive.

State Honors for Baba Siddique

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Siddique will be cremated with full state honors. Siddique served as a minister in the Maharashtra government from 2004 to 2008 and was the chairman of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).

Investigation Underway

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar revealed that five teams have been dispatched to different states to investigate the killing. Two suspects have been arrested, and a third has been identified and will be apprehended soon. Pawar expressed disbelief over the incident and emphasized the swift action taken by the police.
