NCB’s Major Cocaine Bust in Delhi
Over 80 kg Seized, Four Arrested
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in New Delhi has made a significant breakthrough by seizing over 80 kg of high-grade cocaine, marking one of the largest drug busts in the city. This operation led to the arrest of four individuals in the Janakpuri and Nangloi areas.
Details of the Seizure
According to NCB Deputy Director General Neeraj Kumar Gupta, the cocaine’s market value is estimated between Rs11 crore and Rs14 crore per kilogram. The operation began with the seizure of about 1 kg of cocaine from a small courier company. Further investigations led to a raid on a house where 73 packets containing over 81.5 kg of cocaine were found.
International Links
The seized cocaine was intended for export to Australia. A parcel seized on November 11 was destined for Australia, and another parcel intercepted in August was also meant for the same destination. The NCB is closing in on the main players behind this operation.

DDG Gupta credited the success to the NCB team’s efforts, which used technical and human intelligence to trace the contraband’s source. The investigation revealed that the syndicate was operated by individuals based abroad, using anonymous communication methods and involving hawala operators.
