NCB Indore Seizes 170 Kgs of Ganja in Sagar District

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Indore Zonal team has arrested one person and seized 170 kgs of Ganja (Marijuana) in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. The truck carrying the contraband was intercepted at Titarpani Toll Plaza on the Lakhnadon-Lalitpur road (NH-26) during the night between Thursday and Friday.

According to NCB Indore Zonal Director, Ritesh Ranjan, the Ganja was hidden beneath fish feed sacks in the rear side of the truck. The consignment was sourced from Devgaon, Maharashtra, and was destined for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

Ranjan mentioned that this is the 11th seizure by the NCB Indore unit this year. In 2024, the NCB Indore team has seized over 3000 kgs of drugs valued at approximately Rs 9.5 crores. The NCB Indore continues its efforts to eradicate drug trafficking in its area of responsibility.

Earlier this year, in February, the NCB Indore team seized 1326 kgs of Ganja on the Umaria-Katni road in Katni district. In January, they intercepted a car near Milanpur Toll Plaza on the Betul-Bhopal Highway, leading to the seizure of 154.895 kgs of Ganja.
