On October 17, Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. The ceremony took place at Dussehra Ground in Sector 5, Panchkula, where Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office to Saini and his council of ministers.

Cabinet Inductions

Former Deputy Chief Minister Anil Vij and MLAs such as Shruti Choudhary were inducted as ministers in Saini’s cabinet. Other BJP MLAs, including Arti Singh Rao, Rajesh Nagar, and Gaurav Gautam, also took their oaths as ministers.

Support from Backward Classes

Dr. K Laxman, BJP MP and National President of the BJP OBC Morcha, highlighted the support from backward classes and Dalits in forming the government. He noted that this is the third time a BJP government has been formed in Haryana.

Election Results

The BJP secured 48 out of 90 seats in the Haryana assembly elections, while the Congress won 37 seats.
