On October 28, Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi inaugurated the Swavlamban 2024 exhibition in New Delhi. This annual event by the Indian Navy is part of the Naval Innovation and Indigenisation initiative.

The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Strength and Power through Innovation and Indigenisation.” It is open to innovators, startups, and MSMEs, showcasing advanced technologies and products developed by Indian defense startups.

The exhibition features an interactive outreach session discussing challenges from the Defence Innovation Organisation’s ADITI 2.0 launch under the iDEX scheme. It also connects ‘Fund Seekers’ like startups with ‘Fund Providers’ such as venture capitalists.

Public Participation

The event is open to the public on October 28 and 29, with participation from dignitaries, the Defence Attache Corps, Armed Forces members, academia, and the general public, aiming to boost innovation and creativity in national security.
