On October 28, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi inaugurated the ‘Swavlamban 2024’ exhibition at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event showcases innovations from young Indian entrepreneurs, featuring around 115 stalls from various agencies, including the Indian Air Force, Indian Army, Indian Coast Guard, and BSF.

Focus on Indigenization

Admiral Tripathi expressed his excitement about the innovative displays, including an anti-drone gun developed by an Indian firm. Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan highlighted the importance of Swavlamban, which began in 2022, as a platform for collaboration with MSMEs and the Indian industry to meet the Navy’s operational needs and bridge capability gaps.

The seminar aims to boost innovation and indigenization efforts, showcasing advanced technologies like air and surface surveillance, autonomous systems, AI, and quantum technologies.
