Navsari Police Seize 60 kg of Drugs in Gujarat

On August 14, the Navsari Police in Gujarat had a significant success when the Local Crime Branch (LCB), Special Operations Group (SOG), and local police seized 50 packets of narcotic drugs weighing 60 kg and 150 grams from Aonjal village in Jalalpur. Superintendent of Police Sunil Agarawal stated, ‘The total drugs weighed around 60 kg and 150 grams, costing approximately Rs 30.07 crore. The drugs were found packed in five layers.’

Assam Police Crack Down on Heroin Trafficking

On the same day, Assam Police launched a crackdown on drug trafficking, conducting two anti-narcotics operations and seizing over 635 grams of heroin. In the first operation, Karimganj Police intercepted a vehicle at Gilaiti Hills and discovered 305 grams of heroin concealed within the vehicle. Two individuals were apprehended and are currently under investigation, according to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad’s Major Drug Bust

Earlier, on August 7, the Anti-Terrorist Squad of Gujarat arrested two people involved in making MD drugs in a flat in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi. They seized 792 kg of liquid MD drugs worth Rs 800 crore. The accused, Mohammad Yunus and Mohammad Adil, were arrested in connection with a drug case busted on July 18, where 35 kg of MD were seized.
