Indian para-javelin thrower Navdeep Singh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and presented him with a cap. During their interaction, PM Modi signed Navdeep’s kit. Navdeep’s silver medal in the men’s javelin F41 event at the Paris Paralympics was upgraded to gold after the initial winner was disqualified.

Navdeep had initially finished second with a season-best throw of 47.32m. The Indian contingent concluded its historic Paralympics campaign in Paris with a record haul of 29 medals, including seven golds, nine silvers, and 13 bronzes. This surpassed India’s previous record of 19 medals from the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. India ended the event in the 18th position.
