Anant Madhukar Chowdhary, the Railway Safety Commissioner of Southern Circle, visited the accident site in Kavaraipettai, Tamil Nadu, where the Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Express derailed after colliding with a stationary goods train.

Southern Railway General Manager RN Singh assured that restoration efforts are underway and expected to be completed by tonight. He confirmed that there were no casualties, only minor injuries, and all affected passengers are receiving treatment.
