Mysore Warriors Win Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 by Defeating Bengaluru Blasters

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], September 2: The Mysore Warriors showcased a dominant performance to defeat the Bengaluru Blasters by 45 runs, winning the third edition of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 on Sunday.

Karthik SU scored 71 runs and Karun Nair added 66 runs, both hitting crucial half-centuries. Manoj Bhandage thrilled the crowd at M Chinnaswamy Stadium with an unbeaten 44 runs off just 13 balls, helping Mysore Warriors reach a strong total of 207/4.

For Bengaluru Blasters, Chethan LR fought hard with 51 runs, but the team struggled against Vidyadhar Patil’s impressive bowling (3/19) and K Gowtham’s smart tactics (2/23).

Match Highlights

Vidyadhar Patil set the tone early by dismissing Mayank Agarwal and Bhuvan Raju quickly. Dhanush Gowda also contributed by taking Rakshith S’s wicket. Despite Chethan LR’s efforts, Bengaluru Blasters were at a precarious 39/3 by the end of the powerplay.

Chethan LR’s 51 runs included three fours and four sixes, but he was eventually dismissed by K Gowtham. The Blasters continued to lose wickets, ending their innings at 162/8. Kranthi Kumar’s 39* was a valiant effort but not enough to change the outcome.

Invited to bat first, Mysore Warriors started strong with Karthik SU dominating the powerplay. Despite losing Karthik CA early, Karun Nair and Karthik SU built a solid partnership. Karthik SU reached his half-century in 30 balls before being stumped by Shubhang Hegde.

Karun Nair and Manoj Bhandage then accelerated the scoring, with Bhandage hitting two sixes and two fours in the final over. Mysore Warriors finished their innings at 207/4, setting a challenging target for Bengaluru Blasters.
