Former Indian cricketer Munaf Patel, known for his role in India’s 2011 ODI World Cup victory, has been appointed as the new bowling coach for the Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. This marks Munaf’s first major coaching role since retiring from competitive cricket in 2018.

Munaf will work alongside head coach Hemang Badani and director of cricket Venugopal Rao. He replaces Australia’s James Hopes, who, along with Ricky Ponting, has parted ways with the franchise.
