The Differentlyabled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) is hosting the fourth edition of the T20 National Physical Disability Championship in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The tournament began on October 15 and has reached its final stage, where Mumbai will face Karnataka.

Semifinal Highlights

In a thrilling semifinal, Mumbai defeated Rajasthan in a super over. Rajasthan, batting first, scored 97 for nine, with Surinder Kumar Khorwal top-scoring with 43 runs. Mumbai matched the score, with Akash Patil contributing 41 runs. In the super over, Mumbai emerged victorious as Rajasthan lost two wickets for just two runs.

In the other semifinal, Karnataka secured a convincing win over Maharashtra. Karnataka posted a formidable 224 for five, thanks to GS Shivashankara’s 88 runs and Rajesh Kannur’s 77 runs. Maharashtra’s Kunal Phanse scored a century, but his team fell short, ending at 172 for four.

Exciting Performances

The tournament has showcased remarkable talent, with players achieving four centuries, 45 half-centuries, and six five-wicket hauls. Notably, some players excelled despite physical challenges, including batting with one hand.

Prizes and Awards

The winners will receive Rs 5 lakh, and the runners-up will get Rs 2.5 lakh, courtesy of the Rajasthan Royals Foundation. Semifinalists will receive Rs 1 lakh each. Additional awards include Rs 25,000 for the best bowler, fielder, and all-rounder, and a two-wheeler for the ‘Star Performer’ from Maharaj Pratap Singh Chauhan. The Player of the Tournament will be awarded a car.
