Udaipur Hosts Exciting Tournament

The 4th T20 National Physical Disability Championship concluded in Udaipur, Rajasthan, with Mumbai emerging victorious. The tournament, which began on October 15, saw Mumbai defeat Karnataka by eight wickets in the final match.

Match Highlights

Mumbai’s captain, Ravindra Sante, played a stellar innings, scoring 70 runs off just 39 balls, including six sixes and four fours. Prashad Chauhan also contributed significantly with 57 runs from 41 balls, helping Mumbai reach the target in 18.1 overs.

Karnataka, batting first, set a challenging score of 175 for six in 20 overs. Narendra Mangore was the top scorer for Karnataka with 68 runs off 30 balls, supported by GS Shivashankara and Rajesh Kannur.

Awards and Recognition

Ravindra Sante was named ‘Player of the Match’ and dedicated his award to his teammate Prashad Chauhan. Akash Patil from Mumbai was awarded ‘Player of the Series’. Other notable awards included ‘Best Fielder’ to Maharashtra’s Kunal Phalse, ‘Best Batsman’ to Karnataka’s GS Shivashankara, and ‘Best Bowler’ to Rajasthan’s Satish Kirar.

The tournament winners received a prize of Rs 5 lakh, while the runners-up were awarded Rs 2.5 lakh. The Rajasthan Royals Foundation and other sponsors supported the event.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Abhjit Singh from Rajasthan Royals and Kailash Manav, founder of Narayan Seva Sansthan. DCCI General Secretary Ravikant Chauhan expressed gratitude to the BCCI and supporters for their continuous support of differently-abled cricketers in India.
