The Mumbai police have made significant progress in the investigation of the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. A weapon was found at the residence of Ram Fulchand Kanoujia, an accused in the case, in Raigad, Maharashtra. This discovery brings the total number of recovered weapons to four out of the five initially reported by the police.

The search continues for the fifth weapon, an Australian-made Bretta pistol. During the investigation, police found pictures of pistols on the shooters’ mobile phones, which led them to search for the fourth weapon.

In a related development, Mumbai Police arrested another suspect, Sujeet Kumar, in Ludhiana. Sujeet, who resides in Mumbai, was visiting his in-laws in Ludhiana when he was apprehended. He was taken to Jamalpur police station before being transferred to Mumbai.

Baba Siddiqui, a former Maharashtra minister, was tragically shot dead on October 12 near his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai. The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the murder.
