Hemant Kumar Rawal, a 30-year-old man, was rescued by the Mumbai Police after being kidnapped for 12 hours. Rawal was kidnapped over a business dispute and found in Pune district. Three men, Kapooram Ghanchi, Prakash Pawar, and Ganesh Patra, were arrested. Ghanchi had started a textile business with Rawal, but when Rawal failed to pay Rs. 30 lakh, Ghanchi conspired to kidnap him. Efforts are underway to locate three more accused.

Assault in Pune

In Pune, a 27-year-old woman named Jerlyn Dsilva was allegedly beaten by a car driver on Baner-Pashan Road. The driver followed her for 2 kilometers before assaulting her, causing severe injuries. Dsilva posted a video on Instagram detailing the incident, which has gone viral. Pune police arrested the driver and another woman, booking them under various sections of the BNS and Motor Vehicle Act. The case is being investigated by Chaturshrungi Police Station.
