Mumbai Customs Seizes Gold and Foreign Currency at Airport
In a significant operation, Mumbai customs officials arrested two passengers at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Maharashtra. The arrests were made on the night of October 4-5, when officials discovered 1.165 kg of gold and foreign currency worth lakhs. The gold, valued at approximately Rs 84 lakh, was hidden on the bodies of the accused. Additionally, foreign currency worth Rs 63.98 lakh was found concealed within the hollow handlebar of a trolley bag and a cabin bag. The investigation into this case is currently ongoing.
