In Mumbai, Maharashtra, a court has ordered Shiva Kumar, the main suspect in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, along with four others, to remain in police custody until November 19. These individuals were apprehended by a joint team from the UP Special Task Force and the Mumbai Crime Branch in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh.

Baba Siddiqui was tragically shot by three attackers near his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office in Mumbai on October 12. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, led by a jailed gangster, has claimed responsibility for this crime.

Further investigations by the Mumbai Crime Branch have uncovered that another leader from Pune was also targeted by the Bishnoi gang. The gang had planned to eliminate this leader using their shooters, as revealed by a senior officer from the Crime Branch. A pistol intended for this crime was recovered, leading to the exposure of the gang’s plan.

The Crime Branch has shared this information with the Pune Police, and investigations are ongoing to determine if the accused had conducted reconnaissance for the planned crime.
