MP Congress Chief Jitu Patwari Joins Guest Teachers’ Protest in Bhopal

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Jitu Patwari participated in a protest march organized by guest teachers. The teachers were marching from Ambedkar Park to the Chief Minister’s House, demanding regularization of their jobs. However, the police stopped them at the Second stop area using barricades.

Statements from Jitu Patwari

Jitu Patwari criticized Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and current Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for not fulfilling promises made to guest teachers. He accused the BJP government of inefficiency, leading to the teachers being labeled as ‘guests’.

Guest Teachers’ Demands

KC Pawar, the state president of the MP Guest Teachers Association, expressed frustration over the government’s unfulfilled promises for the past 16 years. He mentioned that despite assurances during elections, no concrete actions were taken. Pawar highlighted that current CM Mohan Yadav, who once supported their cause, now has the power to regularize their positions.

Ongoing Protest

The guest teachers plan to continue their protest indefinitely, seeking a meeting with the Chief Minister. They reject discussions with the school education minister, who referred to them as ‘occupiers’.
