MP CM Mohan Yadav Vows Justice After Shajapur Firing Incident

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed sorrow over a tragic firing incident in Shajapur district, which resulted in one death and seven injuries. The incident occurred due to a dispute between two groups in Maksi town.

In a post on X, CM Yadav wrote, “The loss of life in an unfortunate accident due to mutual dispute in Maksi town in Shajapur district is very sad. Those responsible will not be spared at any cost. As soon as the incident came to my notice late last night, I talked to the senior officials of the district administration and directed them to ensure peace in the area.”

He further added, “Investigate the matter with impartiality, identify the culprits and take strict action. We are committed to maintain harmony and peace in the state. Tampering with law and order will not be tolerated in the state.”

Following his instructions, the Commissioner and Inspector General of Police (IG) Ujjain Range visited Maksi. Earlier, Shajapur Superintendent of Police (SP), Yashpal Singh Rajput, mentioned that police forces were deployed in the town, patrolling was being done, and the situation was under control.

Meanwhile, Shajapur district hospital doctor on duty, Imran Khan, reported that one person died and seven were injured. All the injured were referred to Indore for further treatment.
