Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has addressed the state government’s decision to include books by authors linked to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in colleges. He emphasized the importance of developing a habit of reading books by various authors. CM Yadav made these remarks while speaking to the media after attending the ‘Bharatiya Bhasha Mahotsav’ at Madhavrao Sapre Sangrahalaya in Bhopal.

Yadav expressed his enjoyment of the event and highlighted the respect for all languages spoken in India, as promoted by the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He extended his greetings for the Mahotsav and reiterated the importance of mutual respect for all languages.

Regarding the inclusion of RSS-linked books, Yadav stated that libraries in excellence colleges have been stocked with books from various authors and languages. He clarified that the decision is about keeping diverse books in libraries and that curriculum changes will be based on committee recommendations.

Additionally, CM Yadav criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led West Bengal government for its handling of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case. He urged the government to take prompt action and avoid politicizing the incident. The tragic event, which occurred on August 9, led to widespread outrage and protests.
