Mohun Bagan Super Giant Says Goodbye to Joni Kauko, Brendan Hamill, and Hector Yuste
Mohun Bagan Super Giant, an Indian Super League (ISL) team, has announced that three of their key foreign players are leaving the club. These players are Joni Kauko, Brendan Hamill, and Hector Yuste.
Brendan Hamill
Brendan Hamill, an Australian defender, joined Mohun Bagan SG in the 2022-23 season. He played 14 ISL games, winning nine tackles and 33 duels, and completing 51 recoveries with an 84% passing accuracy. Hamill also scored a goal in a 2-0 win against Hyderabad FC in December.
Hector Yuste
Hector Yuste, a Spanish defender, joined the team during the 2023 summer transfer window. He made 24 appearances, succeeded in 101 duels, 18 tackles, and 120 recoveries. Yuste also had two goal contributions and ranked fifth in the league with 34 interceptions.
Joni Kauko
Joni Kauko, a Finnish midfielder, re-joined Mohun Bagan SG after Antonio Habas took charge in January. He played 14 ISL games, provided four assists, and scored a goal against NorthEast United FC.
All three players played crucial roles in helping the Mariners win the ISL League Shield and the Durand Cup.
