Mohammad Shahid Khan Appointed as Chief Proctor at Jamia Millia Islamia
New Delhi, India – Jamia Millia Islamia has announced the appointment of Mohammad Shahid Khan as the new chief proctor and in-charge of security. This decision was made by the officiating Vice-Chancellor Mohammad Shakeel, who recently took over the role.
The official order, issued on July 20, 2024, stated that Atiqur Rahman has been relieved of his duties as chief proctor and in-charge of security. Mohammad Shahid Khan, a professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Sciences, will take over these responsibilities immediately and continue until further notice.
Earlier, on July 11, Professor Mohammad Shakeel was appointed as the Officiating Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia. The President of India approved his appointment, and he will serve in this role until a regular Vice-Chancellor is appointed.
