The Mohali Police have arrested three members of an armed robbery gang. The arrested individuals are Jaspreet Singh, also known as Jassi, from village Jhandi Wala, Gurpreet Singh from village Saraiali, and Balkaran Singh from village Tarsingh Wala, district Ferozepur.

Details of the Arrest

Dr. Sandeep Singh Garg, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohali, stated, “The police have arrested 3 members of a gang involved in the robbery. This gang was involved in incidents of robbery and theft at various places in the district.”

The police recovered 2 motorcycles, 1 pistol, 2 cartridges, 5 mobile phones, and other stolen items from the accused. A case has been registered against them under various sections, and they have been sent to judicial custody. The investigation is ongoing, and the search for other related criminals continues.

Related Efforts Against Crime

Earlier last week, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police apprehended three drug smugglers, seizing 1 kg of ice (methamphetamine), 2.45 kg of heroin, and 520 grams of pseudoephedrine. Director General of Police, Punjab, Gaurav Yadav, mentioned that a significant smuggler, Gurbax alias Lala of Chheharta, was among those arrested.

In another effort, Sangrur Police conducted visits to various villages, engaging with Village Defense Committees to seek their cooperation in combating drug-related issues.
