Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhawma Attends Taiwan Expo 2024 in New Delhi

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhawma participated in the Taiwan Expo 2024 held in New Delhi. He expressed the state’s interest in strengthening relations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration with Taiwan.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) shared on its official X handle about the CM’s participation in the Expo. The post stated, “Chief Minister Lalduhawma attended the Taiwan Expo 2024 in India, held today at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. In his speech, the Chief Minister said that Mizoram is keen to strengthen ties and explore new avenues of cooperation.”

On the sidelines of the Taiwan Expo, CM Lalduhawma met Foxconn India Representative V Lee. The CMO posted, “Chief Minister Lalduhawma met with Foxconn India Representative, V Lee, today at New Delhi. It was discussed how Mizoram youths to work at Foxconn and Foxconn to evaluate the manufacturing base in Mizoram.”

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), an Industry Partner of Taiwan Expo 2024, is organizing the event along with Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) from July 8-10 at Pragati Maidan. The Expo showcases the latest innovations and technological advancements from Taiwan, with 110 leading Taiwanese manufacturers exhibiting across five themes: Smart Manufacturing, Smart City, Smart Lifestyle, Wellness, and Green Innovations.

This Expo provides an opportunity to explore a diverse range of cutting-edge products and services from Taiwan, standing as Taiwan’s flagship exhibition platform in India.
