The Ministry of Women and Child Development in India, along with its autonomous bodies, has launched Special Campaign 4.0 to enhance cleanliness and address pending issues from October 2 to October 31, 2024. This initiative follows similar campaigns from the past three years.

Key Objectives and Achievements

The campaign focuses on cleanliness, space management, and the disposal of redundant items. It also aims to resolve pending references from MPs, state governments, and other ministries, as well as public grievances and appeals. As of October 24, 2024, significant progress has been made:

Innovative Practices

Various innovative practices have been adopted, such as:

  • In Indore, One Stop Centre functionaries collaborated with students for cleanliness awareness through street plays.
  • In South Garo Hills, Meghalaya, a sapling plantation drive was organized.
  • In Anantnag, children at a Child Care Institution engaged in “Making the Best out of Waste” activities, promoting recycling and creativity.
  • At ‘Snehalaya’ in Zari, Moti Daman, a hand sanitization activity was conducted to promote personal hygiene.

Weekly meetings led by Gyanesh Bharti, Additional Secretary and Nodal Officer, ensure the campaign’s progress and effectiveness.
