Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy Promotes Unity and Development in Telangana
Telangana’s Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister, Captain N Uttam Kumar Reddy, emphasized the importance of unity and harmony in India. He stated that India’s strength lies in its unity in diversity and that prosperity can only be achieved through communal harmony.
Foundation Stones for New Projects
On Thursday, Reddy laid foundation stones for various projects in Mellacheruvu, including the Rajagopuram in Shivalayam and a Muslim community hall. He also reviewed ongoing works at the Christian burial ground, demonstrating the Congress Government’s commitment to all communities.
Development in Huzurnagar and Kodad
Reddy participated in various development programs in the Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies. He reviewed several projects, including a Rs 8 crore mini tank bund at Kodad Pedda Cheruvu, a Rs 6 crore Kodad town hall, and a Rs 50 lakh Khammam X Road junction development. He also visited the site for the construction of the Kodad Muslim community hall and checked the ongoing work at the Christian burial ground in Huzurnagar near Gutta.
Infrastructure Improvements
Reddy laid foundation stones for new office buildings for the Tahsildar, MPDO, and Police Station in Ananthagiri, costing Rs 3 crore, and a Rs 1.5 crore Muslim community hall in Mellacheruvu. He also reviewed the Telangana Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TUFIDC) works in the Huzurnagar and Neredcherla municipalities.
Empowering Local Bodies
Reddy affirmed that the Congress Government in Telangana is empowering local bodies by granting them the necessary powers to design, execute, and implement development programs. He criticized the previous BRS Government for failing to create the necessary infrastructure for administration and urged local bodies to function independently with full authority.
