Minister Hiralal Nagar Announces Plans to Reduce Power Costs in Rajasthan

Minister of State for Energy in Rajasthan, Hiralal Nagar, announced that power tariffs in the state will decrease once they start receiving 20-22 racks of coal from a mine in Chhattisgarh. Currently, Rajasthan receives only 9-10 racks of coal.

Nagar mentioned that efforts are being made to increase the coal supply and to secure two additional coal blocks, Parsa and Kanta Extension. He plans to meet with Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister to expedite this process.

Due to the current coal shortage, Rajasthan has to buy coal from Coal India, which costs 40% more and increases electricity production costs. The quality of this coal is also not up to the required standards.

During his visit to the PEKB coal mine in Surguja, Nagar praised the Adani Group for their excellent management and environmental conservation efforts. He also inaugurated a 9-megawatt solar power park and introduced new dozer push machines for mining, which will be used in India for the first time.

The solar power park will contribute to green energy, and the new machines are expected to bring significant improvements in mining operations and environmental conservation.
