MeitY and C-DAC Partner with Industry Leaders for Tech Advancements

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has signed multiple agreements with industry partners to collaborate with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The event took place at C-DAC’s Vellayambalam Campus, where S. Krishnan, Secretary of MeitY, inaugurated a new Hardware Emulation Facility.

According to an official statement, the facility aims to advance the development, testing, and validation of hardware designs in VLSI and SoC technologies. The agreements signed during the event focus on various technological advancements:

  • Tata EV: Focuses on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), and Vehicle-to-Building (V2B) grid technologies.
  • Hykon Group: Emphasizes the same grid technologies and their commercialization.
  • JMVLPS Limited: Targets the advancement of smart metering technologies for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
  • Larsen & Toubro: Focuses on developing indigenous VEGA processor-based System on Chips (SoCs).
  • Aheesa Digital Innovations: Facilitates the testing, validation, and commercialization of C-DAC’s CDAC-Rakshak and Darpan VNS systems for cybersecurity and forensic capabilities.

S. Krishnan also launched a range of Microgrids developed by Hykon Group in collaboration with C-DAC, designed to support the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid.
