Meera Chhetri Found Dead on Mahipalpur Bypass Road in New Delhi

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a woman named Meera Chhetri, aged 44, was found dead on the Mahipalpur Bypass road in New Delhi. Meera was a resident of Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, in West Bengal.

At around 5 am, the police received a call informing them about an unconscious woman on the Mahipalpur Bypass road, opposite CISF gate No. 01. Upon arrival, the police found Meera unresponsive and rushed her to Safdarjung Hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

The crime team thoroughly inspected and photographed the scene. Meera’s family, including her husband Rajesh Chhetri, was informed, and a postmortem was conducted at Safdarjung Hospital Mortuary.

Initial police analysis of CCTV footage and the nature of her injuries suggest that she was hit by a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
