Maximilian Kilman Joins West Ham United
From Wolverhampton Wanderers
London [UK], July 6: West Ham United, a Premier League team, has announced the signing of defender Maximilian Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Kilman is the third new player for West Ham and will play under their new head coach, Julen Lopetegui, who was also his coach at Wolves.
West Ham shared that the 27-year-old defender has signed a seven-year contract with the club. Kilman spent six successful years at Wolves, where he played over 150 matches and was named captain last year.
In a statement, Kilman expressed his excitement about joining West Ham. He said, “It’s an amazing feeling to be a West Ham United player. I really enjoyed working with Julen during his time at Wolves – he’s a top-class coach and someone I learned a lot from.”
West Ham’s Technical Director, Tim Steidten, also shared his happiness about Kilman’s signing. He said, “We’re delighted to have secured Max’s signature – he was one of our top targets in the central defensive area in this transfer window.”
West Ham will start their Premier League season against Aston Villa on August 17.
