Mathura Police Suspends Officers After Viral Video of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Member
In Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shailesh Pandey has suspended three police officers following a viral video of Yogesh, a sharpshooter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The video showed Yogesh speaking to local media while in custody, claiming his encounter in Mathura was fake. He also mentioned NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, who was recently shot dead in Mumbai.
The suspended officers include Sub-inspector Ramsanehi, Head Constable Vipin, and Constable Sanjay, all stationed at the Refinery police station. Yogesh, involved in a Delhi murder case, was arrested in a joint operation by the Delhi Special Cell and Mathura Police. SSP Pandey confirmed that Yogesh, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was injured in an encounter and wanted for the murder of gym owner Nadir Shah in South Delhi on September 12.
Meanwhile, security has been increased at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence after receiving death threats demanding Rs 5 crore. The threats, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, warned of danger to Khan’s life if the extortion money was not paid. This follows the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, prompting police to intensify their search for suspects, including Shubham Lonkar, Shiv Kumar Gautam, and Zeeshan Akhtar, who may be fleeing to Nepal.
