In Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, the police made a significant discovery during a routine check on the Yamuna Expressway. They found 12.5 kilograms of gold in a car at the Mant toll. The car’s occupants claimed they were traveling from Delhi to Deoria but failed to provide any documentation for the gold. As a result, the GST and IT departments have been notified, and further action is being taken. The individuals arrested include one person from Uttar Pradesh and another from Bihar.

Illegal Firecrackers Seized in Ghaziabad

In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, police conducted two separate raids and seized a large number of illegal firecrackers. The first raid took place in Makanpur village, where 63 cartons of firecrackers were found in a shop near the Hanuman temple. A 26-year-old man named Majid, from Sector 12, Vijay Nagar, was arrested for selling these firecrackers. In another raid at a kite shop in the Navyug Market, a significant amount of firecrackers was seized. The shopkeeper managed to escape, but a team has been formed to apprehend him.
