Massive Fire at Oil and Chemical Factory in Ghaziabad

At midnight on Monday, a huge fire erupted at an oil and chemical factory near the Muradnagar Canal bridge on Delhi-Meerut Road in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The fire started in an industrial unit on the ground floor of a 2000 square meter plot in the Pawanpuri Industrial Area.

Drums of edible oil and other chemicals stored in the factory began to explode, causing the tin shed roofs and boundary walls to collapse. The fire then spread to a nearby cardboard factory on an adjacent plot.

Rahul Kumar, the Chief Fire Officer and Police Commissioner of Ghaziabad, dispatched 12 fire tenders from various fire stations, including Kotwali, Sahibabad, Vaishali, Loni, Partapur (Meerut), and Sector 58 (Gautam Buddha Nagar). He also arrived at the scene to oversee the operations.

Despite the intensity of the fire, no injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Cooling operations are currently ongoing with the help of 12 firefighters.
