Firefighters Rush to the Scene

At midnight on Monday, a massive fire erupted at an oil and chemical factory near the Muradnagar Canal bridge on Delhi-Meerut Road in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The fire quickly spread to a nearby cardboard factory.

Firefighting Efforts

Twelve fire tenders were dispatched from various fire stations, including Kotwali, Sahibabad, Vaishali, Loni, Partapur (Meerut), and Sector 58 (Gautam Buddha Nagar). Chief Fire Officer Rahul Kumar and local police were present at the scene to assist in controlling the blaze.

Extent of Damage

The fire caused explosions of drums containing edible oil and chemicals, leading to the collapse of tin shed roofs and boundary walls. Despite the extensive damage, no injuries were reported.

Ongoing Operations

The exact cause of the fire is still unknown. Cooling operations are currently ongoing with the help of 12 firefighters.
