Police Seize Chemicals from Amit Chaturvedi’s Warehouse
In a significant development, police in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, have seized raw materials worth Rs 60 lakh used for making MD (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) drugs. The materials were found in a warehouse rented by Amit Chaturvedi, the prime accused in a major drug bust.
Details of the Seizure
The warehouse, located near Rapandia square under Katra Hills police station, contained chemicals such as 1600 litres of acetone, 1000 litres of toluene, and other substances. These materials could have produced drugs valued at Rs 400 to Rs 500 crores internationally.
Background of the Case
Earlier, on October 6, the Gujarat ATS and NCB seized drugs worth Rs 1,814 crore from a factory in Bhopal, arresting Amit Chaturvedi and Sanyal Bane. This was the largest drug factory bust by the Gujarat ATS.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Kumar Agarwal stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the drug network in Bhopal. Legal actions are also being taken against property owners who failed to report their tenants.
