Manu Bhaker Shines at Paris Olympics with Historic Medals

Manu Bhaker, a two-time Olympic medallist, expressed her joy over her performance at the Paris Olympics. She finished fourth in the women’s 25m pistol event and won two bronze medals: one in the women’s 10m air pistol event and another in the 10m air pistol mixed-team event with Sarabjot Singh. These achievements marked India’s first-ever shooting medals by a woman and in team shooting.

Bhaker thanked her supporters, including the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), the Sports Authority of India (SAI), the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS), the Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), and the Haryana government. She said, “Winning 2 bronze medals is a dream come true. This achievement is not just mine but belongs to everyone who has believed in me and supported me along the way.”

She also expressed her pride in competing for her country and thanked her family, Coach Jaspal Rana, and all her well-wishers for their unwavering support. “A bittersweet end to my campaign in Paris but happy to contribute to #TeamINDIA’s success. Jai Hind!” she added.
