Awards Details

The Department of Youth Affairs, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, presents the National Youth Awards to individuals aged 15 to 29 and organizations for outstanding work in areas like health, human rights, active citizenship, and community service. The awards aim to inspire young people to excel in national development and social service, foster community responsibility, and recognize the efforts of voluntary organizations in youth development.

Application Process

Applications for the National Youth Award (2022-23) are open from November 1 to November 15, 2024, through the Ministry of Home Affairs’ common award portal. Individual winners receive a medal, a certificate, and a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000, while organizations receive Rs 3,00,000.
