Manoj Yadava Leads Tribute to Police Heroes at Hot Springs Memorial in Ladakh
Manoj Yadava, Director General of the Railway Protection Force, along with a 28-member delegation, paid homage to police heroes at the Hot Springs Memorial in Ladakh. Yadava led a delegation of police officers from various state police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including N. Prakash Reddy, DIG of Telangana Police, and Raja Banthia, DCP/EOW of Delhi Police. The memorial is a sacred site for Indian Police Forces, honoring the ten CRPF officers who sacrificed their lives on October 21, 1959.
The ceremony, which began in 1960, is a revered tradition for police officers across the country. The site is located near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh at an altitude of 15,400 feet. The delegation met Sonam Dorjey, an 86-year-old veteran who bravely stood against Chinese troops during the 1959 incident.
This year’s visit was significant as Manoj Yadava became the first DG of the Railway Protection Force to lead the delegation.
