Congress MP Manish Tewari has requested an urgent discussion in the Lok Sabha about the ongoing border clashes between India and China and the significant trade deficit. He highlighted the construction of a bridge by China in Eastern Ladakh and urged the government to provide details on efforts to resolve these issues.

Tewari noted that India’s trade deficit with China exceeded USD 85 billion in 2023-24. The budget session of Parliament, which began on July 22, will end on August 12.
