Imphal (Manipur) [India], September 10: Manipur Inspector General of Police for Operations, IK Muviah, announced that the evidence collected in the drone bombing case will likely be handed over to central investigating agencies for a higher-level investigation.

Evidence Collection and Clarification

Speaking at a press conference, Muviah stated that the Manipur police have already clarified the drone bombing incident and stand by their statement. He mentioned that all bomb fragments have been sent to a forensic lab to identify the chemicals used.

Refuting Claims of Division

Muviah addressed a statement by a retired officer claiming the existence of Meitei and Kuki police instead of a unified Manipur police force. He refuted this, emphasizing that the force includes members from various communities, including Kukis, Nagas, and Meiteis.

Appeal for Peaceful Protests

Muviah urged students to protest peacefully and warned against the spread of false information on social media. He stated that the police are monitoring social media and will take action against groups spreading misinformation.
