In Imphal, Manipur, the Director General of Police, Rajiv Singh, emphasized the need for peace and normalcy in the state during challenging times. Speaking at the 133rd Manipur Police raising day, he highlighted efforts to address issues with the cooperation of security agencies and the public. Singh noted improvements over the past year and a half, with reduced violence and injuries, though sporadic incidents persist. He urged communities to engage in peaceful dialogue and avoid protests, stressing the importance of civilian safety.

On October 15, representatives from Kuki-Zo-Hmar, Meitei, and Naga communities held discussions facilitated by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the national capital. This marked the first direct talks between these groups, aiming to foster dialogue and reduce tensions.
