On Thursday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh inaugurated a new training center and three night shelters for Building and Other Construction Workers (BOC) in Imphal. The event was organized by the Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board at ITI, Takyelpat.

During the inauguration, CM Biren Singh highlighted the support provided to the working class since the BJP government took office. He mentioned a project worth Rs150 crores for constructing working women’s hostels at ten locations in the state, and Rs 10 crores allocated for a youth skill development center in Takyel.

He also announced loans up to Rs 10 lakhs with a 30% subsidy for weaker sections under the One Family One Livelihood scheme. CM Biren Singh praised MLA Patsoi AC Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh for securing a Rs 400 crore project for road repairs after recent floods.

The Chief Minister assured the continuation of free fortified rice distribution under the PMGKAY scheme until 2028. He emphasized skill-based training for employability, especially for displaced youths. He also addressed dengue fever concerns, urging public precautions.

In conclusion, CM Biren Singh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring essential commodities’ supply and called for public cooperation to resolve ongoing issues.
