Alleged Blackmail and Extortion Unveiled
In Mangaluru, Karnataka, BM Mumtaz Ali, brother of former MLA Mouiddin Bhava, was found dead after reportedly jumping into the river near Kuloor Bridge. His body was discovered on Monday at 10 am. The family suspects his suicide was due to blackmail and harassment by a group of individuals.
Mumtaz Ali, a businessman, was allegedly extorted for over Rs 50 lakh since July 2024. The accused reportedly used false allegations of an illicit relationship to damage his reputation. On the morning of his disappearance, Mumtaz Ali sent a voice message naming those he blamed for his distress.
